I LOVE YOU GUYS.
Go _____. Persevere. You've done it once and you can do it again.
Something like that. It's something I saw on a friend's blog a long time ago. It's not about studies, so I can kind of guess what it was about. I just recalled it out of the blue today during church. Man.. dondake?!
Anyway. That was just part of my letter to God, asking for strength and all that. Thanks for the wonderful prayer session, Rachel and Joanne twinny.
Anthony tore paper for us today. In some ways, that was a touching gesture, ne? Haha. Really, that's very nice of you! And well, there was the warm fuzzy session. It wasn't as serious as it should be, but I'm really thankful for all the affirmation I received from all of you! Reaaaaaally. Hontou ni hontou ni. I'm kinda rushing to go back to hostel now so I don't think I can type out what everyone said, especially since I don't know who said what exactly. But thank you all so much.
HERE'S MY LETTER FROM MY DEAR FORMATORS.
(My 1 dear formator and the other 1 who's been cheating our/my feelings for 6 months.)
Dear Joanne Tan,
Since the beginning of the formation, you've been one of the most expressive and feeling of the group. Your sharings at the camps merely reinforced that. You are always genuine and sincere in sharing your experiences and feelings.
After the camps, we have noticed that you are actualy extremely enthusiastic despite your aloof disposition. You're also observant, committed, trusting and intelligent. Joanne, you have one likable personality that shines through even if you don't want it to. This makes your presence very contagious, your ideas and opinions too. You have a leadership potential that remains as yet, untapped.
Keep contributing your talents to the group and let your personality exude. Try to organise your thoughts more and be confident of yourself! God has given you so many talents, such as music, so keep developing them and using them, not only with the youths but your friends and family too.
Most importantly, keep praying for God's grace in all that you do, and maintain this prayerful relationship with him.
Lastly, we appreciate all your effort and your commitment to the camps and the programme thus far. Keep that enthusiasm up and feel free to call anyone of us should you need anything!
God Bless
[heart], Your Formators.
FABIAN AND BRYAN
Can you believe nobody told be Bryan was our formator. -.- Not that it matters, but whaaaaaaaat the hell? Haha. Oh man, I feel kinda sorry for him. Apparently he didn't go for the Footprints retreat when he was younger. Haha well, that's really sad. Cos I'll go no matter what and maaaaaaan do I hope Jane goes. I really don't want her to quit JC.
I don't know whether or not I should say they really know me well, or if I'm still living a lie. Honestly, I can't accept the compliments, even if Anthony said the formators are the best judge of character. And also, that if the same message appears more than once on the affirmation sheet then it's probably true. I really don't know. Honestly it doesn't really matter what others think, right? Supposedly not. But if it's my church friends, then it's a community I will be journeying with forever (hopefully) so I really want to be who I am.
Deaaaaaar Lord,
It's me again! :D Please let me be more open and more honest to myself and others.
Please let me be the person you want me to be. I want to touch others, so send your Holy Spirit down on me. :( Itsumo arigatou ne.
Love, Jo.

Because of the way the church is and because I grew up in Changi not Bishan, I didn't belong to this church all my life. But even if I did I doubt I would have found a 青梅竹马 like my friend did. I'm really, honestly, truly happy to know that. Honestly. I hope that like his parents, he'll get married to that girl he met in his church. If it's him, the family will be a happy one, right? I'm looking forward to your wedding already, haha. And I'm amazed how the christian churches function. Like, even if they stay far away, they will still travel half of Singapore to get to church. Like Elaine and my friend. That's really nice, isn't it? :)
